Transmission: the HUD Ghost theme behind this site — now open source
This site runs on a Ghost theme I built called Transmission — a tactical, HUD-style theme with dark frosted glass, corner-bracket frames, an ambient data-flow background and a live-telemetry hero. I've cleaned it up, relicensed it MIT, and put it on GitHub. It's free: download it, fork it, run it on your own Ghost site.
What it is
A complete, marketplace-grade Ghost theme — it passes gscan with zero errors and runs on Ghost 5 and 6. It leans hard into a neo-punk command-console aesthetic without giving up readability or accessibility.
- Tactical HUD design — corner-bracket frames, monospace type, sharp corners, neon accents.
- Dark + light — a scheme switcher in the header; the accent colour auto-adjusts for contrast on each.
- Landing homepage — HUD hero with live post/tag telemetry, plus a full archive at
/blog/. - Members & comments — Ghost Portal sign-up, native comments, and a subscribe band, all themed.
- Configurable from Ghost admin — accent colours, hero callsign, telemetry toggle, feed layout, body font, background-animation and logo-glitch toggles, and an optional sidebar — no code required.
- Reusable content blocks — HUD buttons and project cards you can drop into your own posts and pages.
- Accessible — full
prefers-reduced-motionsupport, visible keyboard focus states, and WCAG AA contrast.
